We Have Arrived!

We are here in beautiful Arusha! We are resting on the veranda of the Carter's house listening to the kids laugh and play next to the training facility. We are exhausted after a very long crazy van ride from Nairobi to Arusha. They claim to be reconstructing the road but think of the worst country road you have ever been on and multiple that by alot and that was what our last five hours were like! However, we crossed the border without any trouble and met some new friends. The most exciting part was seeing a heard of zebras running across the plain. The land through Kenya is very dry right now sprinkled with herders of cows or goats. It is cute to see small children following their fathers through the dry dusty land after the heard. The first part of Tanzania was very dry and flat. There was nothing for miles. As the the rolling hills came closer and closer so did our final destination! Arusha is not as big as Nairobi but bursting with people as well. Removed slightly from the city about 15minutes is the CMF Training Facility. We finally arrived at Carters house and Kahlua was here to greet us! We love the Carters house and wish they were here. Everyone is very nice and we will be having dinner with Scott and Annelle Price this evening. We are looking forward to eating!!! It has been awhile and are ready for a meal. We are excited to be here and look forward to each new day!

Prayer Points:
  • Health & Safety
  • For our minds and hearts to be open and to be fast learners of the culture.

  1. Since this will be the only time I probably get to correct your writing, it is a "herd"! Justin & I had fun reminiscing about the van ride in Ghana~only one of us puked!
Thanks for sharing your trip with us! We wait impatiently for every update. We all are praying for you and missing you. Heidi asked for prayer for her Mom & Dad last evening during Band of Angels. She looked beautiful with long braids, compliments of her grandma. We love you & continue to pray! Becky
