This morning I was milling through some household chores. Trying to get laundry done cause the sun was shinning! Janet and Elinipa taught me how to make bread, chai, and soup. They were very proud of their classroom and I was working on my Swahili as well. The afternoon I was trucking through some paperwork and planning. I received a happy unexpected text from Joseph. Joseph works with Annelle in CHE and is hard at work in new churches not far from Matale A where he is currently living. Joseph was here on the Center and asked if we could meet. He and his wife are brainstorming some ideas to have a day for kids in their area. But, before we could chat about that he was so excited to share about Sunday. They are taking turns preaching in these new churches becasue there are not enough preachers. Sunday there were 70 baptisms! Yes, you read right 70! The most at one time within the area. Area choirs from the other churches came and there were over 400 people there to worship Sunday! He was so excited and I was speechless. That beats paperwork any day but gave additional life for planning!
Bwana Sifiwe!
