Siku ya zalishi!

Monday was the day of my birth!  I turned 32 years old.  I think malaria aged me more than the thought of turning another year.  Friday friends in the Arusha area gathered for dinner and laughter!  It was very good to see some of my friends while on break and made it fun with a yummy vanilla cake!

After hugs from the kids Tami and I went to town for the day.  We enjoyed going to all of our favorite spots getting errands done.  Lunch was at a lodge that rests on a hillside.  It provided a relaxing environment to have a bit of respite and enjoy conversation.

Amy and Janet made taco stuff for dinner upon my request!  Then, the rest of the evening was spent snuggling with Milo and receiving Skype Calls.  I have to say my favorite was my niece Bella singing the "Keki Keki" song.  This is a song that is sung at many Tanzanian celebrations as a cake is being cut.  Thank you for the Birthday wishes they were wonderful to read.  May God continue to work in my life each and everyday.

Prayer Points~

  • I remained at home for another week to rest, take care of ministry needs, and receive the renewal of my residence permit.  I will return to school on Saturday to begin the second half!  With some helpful advice of friends in the States I think I am on the medicine that will rid me of malaria!  I feel stronger however,  I have a touch of a cold so pray for continual healing and physical strength.
  • May this year be a sweet offering of worship to a God that loves me more than I can understand.  I pray He continues to work in my life so more may know of Him around me.  Here am I...
