Today our classroom boat became Noah's Ark! The kids sang happily as they made their way to the boat. Annah taught the lesson while they sat on the little benches inside the crafted vessel! When the story was finished we all got to choose which animal we wanted to be inside Noah's Ark! The kids had a great time. My heart soared as I thought of my friends who helped build and paint for us to be able to share today as a class. One of the reasons I wanted a boat in our outside learning area is that unless the tribe is located by the ocean or the large lakes many of the children do not know of boats. Stories with large bodies of water have to be very descriptive for most of the kids do not know the magnitude of the miracle being taught because they have no context of a large body of water! Think about it! There are A LOT of stories that have to do with water, boats, fish etc! The boat is a simple tool to help Bible truths become more real in the lives of these kids!
Prayer Points~
- May these precious faces be as faithful as Nuru (Noah!!)
