I am grateful that our trip was very smooth and feels more natural now~ just a way of life! The goodbyes were very tearful and I thought the lump in my throat would never go away. Despite how hard those goodbyes are I knew more than any other time that I was simply going home. Delta made my check in the smoothest EVER! The curb check in gal was a blessing in the midst of the emotional time. She and the manager on that afternoon waved my extra baggage fee. They thanked me for what I was doing and said not to worry about my bags they would be waiting for me in Tanzania! What a blessing they were that afternoon! I was very thankful for Mike and Rachel's support that morning!! Thankful for the last bit of time with my dad and it was hard to say goodbye to my mom and Sawyer at the tail end. Thankful as well for my friend Amber who sent me off through security for the last Stateside Glimpse for this visit! The trip was smooth! Once again Milo is a CHAMP and there was a very nice older gentleman who is geologist who sat next to me on the plane during the first long flight. He had been to Tanzania and was very encouraging to the work I am a part of here. He was a blessing as well cause after those hard goodbyes it is nice to have a few encouraging words about the homeland I am returning.
It is good to be back in Tanzania! I have been in more timezones than I can count in the last few weeks and I think my body has finally said it is enough for a bit! I am trying to take the first part of this week slow to be a bit restful and for my body to get back on the right time! Yesterday I ran a few errands of things to get in order to have my feet planted back in TZ. I will also begin to plan and prepare for the seminars next week while getting my bags unpacked to repack for next week!
Prayer Points~
- for this to be a restful time to transition
- for God to strengthen my heart and be ever close after the tearful goodbyes
- I will be teaching Monday for our Teaching Staff at Joshua School Arusha as they prepare for the start of school on May 9th. This will be an encouraging time together as we begin Term 2
- Lynda will be coming from New Zealand and I will fly to Dar es Salaam to meet her to be with the Mt. Zion School next week! We will get to observe what they have been able to put into place since our last training in December. It will be exciting to help them identify strengths and weaknesses in the classrooms to encourage ever growing Christian Schools. We also will lead some seminars during our week. Lynda and I will then return to Arusha together to begin Term 2 on Monday May 9th in Arusha!!
