Weekend Fun in Africa

It is the weekend and we had great fun! Scott and Annelle Price have their daughter Renee, son-in-law Jeff, and twin granddaughters Lela and Karis here in Africa. The girls helped me get the classroom ready last week. We had great fun and it was music to my ears to hear "Miss Wendy" again throughout the day! They have been kind enough to include me in their African fun! Today, we ventured to yet another Snake Park. I must admit that this one was a bit better if you can say that about such a thing! It definitely is an eye opening experience to hear about all the Snakes that you do not want to encounter here in Africa!! We also saw some long snotted crocodiles who I wouldn't want to me either. Now the baby crocs one the cute award however, I am sure they can give quite a pinch as well! Ok, so for the experience and the theme of continuing to try anything I held a snake!! Yes, you read right and it totally gave me the willies but I did it! Not sure I want to do it again but I did it! On the way home headed to the Rugby game. I have no idea what was going on but it felt like a Fall Football game at home! Tanzania was playing Kenya and it didn't look so good for Tanzania. So, that about wraps it up for Weekend Fun in Africa!

Prayer Points~

  • The families are returning for training

  • I begin teaching Bible Stories this week in the classroom. We are beginning with Creation and I am working very hard to learn as much in Swahili as I can. I am very excited and a little nervous.

  • Two of our teammates Ron and Jane Ann Richmond are leaving on furlough. Glad they get to spend time with friends and family in the States but we are going to miss them. Pray for the transition it is their first furlough and many emotions are present!
