Stateside Update...

The good news is that there is time to update the Blog. The bad new is that we are house bound surrounded by a sea of ice which makes me long for the hot sun of Africa even more!

It is hard to believe that my first month of being back in the States has come and gone. I know deep down that this Stateside time will go very quickly! I was very glad to see my teammate Scott Price here last week. It seemed weird sitting here in my home town but to have such a sense of home when I greeted him off the plane. It was good to talk about familiar things to us since our day to day is so unfamiliar to our family and friends in the States. We had a good visit and he had productive meetings at CMF. Productive time in Indy!

So, what else have I been doing? First of all, busy making memories to store with family and friends! Visiting Mrs. Klay's 4th grade class was quite fun! Getting to meet the students that pen-paled while I was in Africa with me and the kids was great fun! They were very interested and where there is interest it is hard for me to stop talking of Africa! It was great to meet them and they now are a part of our Tanzanian Clan wearing the colors of the Tanzanian flag! It is so much fun painting the picture of life in another country! I completed most of my meetings with CMF and my physical has been submitted to the CMF doctor for medical clearance. I have also been very busy getting presentations together and visiting with supporters. Thinking of creative ideas to raise funds for my outgoing budget has also been a fun filler of time! Stay tuned for some of those ideas and how you can be a part of them!

  • I am thankful for those who have already given generously for a few of my outgoing needs.
  • Please pray for 4 to 6 churches who are able to financially partner funding my monthly budget needs of $2,000. (35 churches have been contacted for this purpose so please pray for the follow up that I need to make next week.)

Trying to Stay Warm in Indiana!
