Kids Are Great!

I was able to share with the Awana group at Grace in the northern part of Longmont.  It is not new information for me but I am always amazed at the heart of kids!  I know, I know the scripture says, "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."  And to some of you reading it scares you because you are by no means a "kid person!"  However, regardless, I think you would be able to agree with scripture despite your endless or limited kid influence.  I am constantly reminded of faith that can move mountains, love that flows like a running river, and hope that soars beyond the horizon.  My most recent example of this is my time with 3yr - 10 yr old Awana kids at Grace.  Only a very few of the kids I knew.  But, as I told them as much as I could of Tanzania and the kids that live there in twenty short minutes they instantly caught hold.  Such great questions and an instant connection to help the kids in Tanzania of whom they may never meet here on Earth.  Unfortunately, I think we adults should take a lesson sometime from our "wee influencers!"

My friend Kaarin was sharing with me that in her Bible Study at an entire different church one of the moms was sharing about a her child's reaction to a Missionary from Tanzania who spoke the night before to her three year old son.  Kaarin knowing that it was me kept quiet as the woman shared about her little boy.  He was so moved and interested about Tanzania when they got home they had to pull out a globe to locate Tanzania.  Then, he was compelled to pray for the kids in Tanzania and me!
My "wee influencers" around the world!
