Nempburis & Neema

Nempburis

Neema and Nempburis are the daughters of Paulo and Marca.  They are a Maasai family from the Longido area.  Which is up closer to the area where I was in language school.  Neema is five years old and Nempburis is three years old.  These two little girls have come a LONG way since our first week together.  Not used to being left they were HUGE fit throwers and screamers the first week.  Actually, I have never seen Tanzanian children throw fits quite like this before.  They hold the record!  However, it didn't take to long before they began to quiet down and build trust with us.  Now they are the first to run up and hug in the morning.  They have grown to be proud of their work and have the most beautiful smiles!  Sometimes all we need is trust and a little time!

Neema

Our story was the parable of the sower.  The class was busy learning and practicing basic Farming God's Way principles.  This helps them to think of principles that are best in farming here in Africa and also help the children to understand the meaning of the teaching of Jesus.  The kids were very proud of their bean plants and some have already begun to sprout!

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others.
1 Peter 4:10

Father you have made these precious girls unique with different talents.
I pray in conjunction with the promise you have given.
Whatever good work You begin in these girls that you will continue
to bring to fullness as she seeks You (Phil. 1:6.)

  Prayer Points~
  • My ear is better concerning swelling and by looks.  However, I am still unable to hear out of it very well.  There is a clogged feeling much like one has when you have a cold.  I hope that with each day there will be improvement with my ability to hear our of my left ear.
  • That I may have the strength and wisdom to stand firm in the call on which God has in and for my life.
