Samweli is the youngest of seven but the only child in the family here at training. He is the youngest son of Elirehema and Grace. Elirehema is the leader for this group of church planters. Samwel is five years old and only spoke Kinyturu when he arrived. He and his family are Nyturu. Samwel is very tall so he looks much older than he is. He is improving with his Swahili and writing of letters. Kids Training was a challenge for him but he is plugging right along learning one word at a time. It is sweet to watch the other children help him with the words and also for him to be so excited when he remembers the answer! Samwel fell late last week and hit the corner of the cement step with his colar bone. He was in a lot of pain and we ended up with another hospital trip. This group has had a rough run with health. He has a fracture in his colar bone but is doing much better this week. He was in a great deal of pain. However, I believe today he had his precious smile back! We pray for healing and a continued smile!
I am sending to you Timothy, my son whom I love.
1 Corinthians 4:17
Teach my dear Samwel to enjoy his youth, without worrying if others look down on him because he's still learning. May he learn and understand the foundation that we are laying in his life of spiritual truths and education. May he grow to fight the good fight of faith. May he treasure the eternal destiny to which he was called when he confesses you as Lord!
