Tucked in the hills of our capital city of Dar es Salaam sits a school called Mount Zion. It is a Christian School founded by a Tanzanian family with a vision from God. Out of a desire for their children to have an education founded on Biblical Principles Goodluck and his family started the school. Goodluck is a city planner by trade. He and his wife are the director and manager of this school. Many of their teachers came to JSA in the month of November to see what goes on in our school. Lynda and I flew last week to conduct a seminar with all of their teachers. The heart of this family and their teaching staff was an encouragement to both Lynda and myself. This group of 16 people want to be empowered to change the lives of their students and to be a place of Holistic Education. We talked about Holistic Education, to help children love God's Word, Participation, Games, discussions about education, power of questions and allowing kids to WONDER, practical pieces of planning, and how to use the curriculum. Our days were filled with laughter, much thinking, and challenging people to go places they have not gone before. It was HOT HOT HOT but great things happened in this place.

A few glimpses of our week together~

This group of people took very good care of Lynda and I while we were in Dar es Salaam. They cooked for us, served us, Goodluck welcomed us in their home and the kids gave up their beds for the week. We now have another home within Tanzania filled with friends and brothers/sisters in Christ.

What a privilege it is to get to serve alongside of Lynda
to encourage and empower teachers to make a difference for Christ within this nation!
Prayer Points~
- May the teachers here dwell in God's Presence for the Holy Spirit to partner with what they have learned for their classrooms to truly come alive!
- I have headed north to participate now in a camp for kids with albinism. Please pray for strength, wisdom, protection, and a great deal of love to pour on these kids this week!!
