Mighty God!

It has been a big Monday! I began the day being the one to give devotions for the Center Staff. They have become dear friends. Thanks to Tami at our Field Team Meeting last week I have been thinking a lot of the Mighty God we serve. (Not that I don't at all times) It amazes me the God we serve and that I get to join with some of the great Old Testament Characters in being a mighty warrior for a Mighty God. I also have enjoyed this journey with the kids and seeing the light in their eyes as we learn. This morning I asked the workers what their favorite Old Testament Bible Story was and one reason why. I loved listening to their answers. Esther because she changed the course of her people. God's mighty way of creating the world. David being so small and yet with one stone did mighty things! I shared how I love to reflect on these stories but how it causes me to action in serving today. They agreed and one shared that it also was a reminder to read our Bibles. I then shared about God's mighty work in me. Reminding them of my short term goals while here but discovering that I fell in love with Africa and its people. I have seen God work in Mighty ways here in Africa and it is a privilege to be a part. So for the first time I told them that I would need to return to the US but will return to be longer term. My dear African friends cheered like they were at a ball game. We are all on a journey called to serve a Mighty God! Even my little watoto!
