Sunday I got to be in Kids Praise at Plainfield Christian Church! I loved being a part of worship and then getting to share with them about the kids in Tanzania! These kids have a special place in my heart. They are ones I held in the nursery, sang to Jesus with in Preschool Praise, first 3 day experience of their going to camp, and hugged every Sunday! These kids are a part of my journey! How wonderful it was to tell them about my kids in an entire different part of the world! They were great listeners and had fun questions. But, there is one gal who has especially captured my heart!
Monday I was able to help with registration at Vacation Bible School. A girl looking for her VBS class came up to me and while in conversation about which class she was in said, "I sent a box to Tanzania." In the midst of the festivities I didn't think much of it and thought it might be something to treat the MK's with! But, today I received an e-mail from the CMF office. The receptionist said they had received a box that they thought was to go to Tanzania. A simple little box containing three special toys (one being a soccer ball which I remember saying how much they loved to play but with usually no ball,) my card with a check for $6.00, and a colorful envelope marked "a note for the kids in Tanzania." I realized this is what the young girl meant on Monday and it was her response to hearing about the kids in Tanzania. None of these things were ideas I had given to the kids but her response to partner in sharing the love of Jesus with those who do not know! I love kids and their Godly trait of sharing!
