My Masai Daughter

 Being in Masai Land Sunday meant I got to worship with my Masai Daughter Naserian.  I have not seen her since late last fall since I have been away at school.  I am amazed how much healthier she looks and how tall she has gotten since I last saw her.  Her involvement in the Widow and Orphan Program shows and it makes my heart happy.  She is much more alert and smiles so much!  The joy for me was that I was able to communicate with her better!  A hand print that she traced for me hung on my wall at school often needed encouragement on rough school days!

My mom was kind enough to purchase a very nice digital camera for me.  (All Birthdays and Christmases not in attendance in the States for all wrapped into one.)  I love taking pictures.  I love that it is a window for you all to see ministry and my life here in Tanzania.  Pictures like these are a part of my storybook and I am thankful for this tool to make pictures like these even more life like.  Enjoy!  And thanks mom!

How grateful I am to be your child!  May Naserian know that deep within her soul.  That even though she has no earthly parents that she is a child of the King!  May she become convinced that You love her so very much.  May she experience love from me and others around her as she grows.  "How great is the love the Father has lavished on Naserian, that she should be called a child of God!" (1 John 3:1)  "As a mother comforts her child, so you, Lord, will comfort Naserian."  (Isa. 66:13) "Yet to all who receive him, including Naserian, to those who believe in his name, he gives the right to become children of God."  (John 1:12)  "Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God."  (Romans 8:14) May my dear Naserian know these promises today and forevermore ~ Amen!
