Post PCC's Time in Tanzania!
Wow! What a treasurable time for the Wash Family along with myself to have our home church send a team of eight on a mission trip to Tanzania! It was twelve very busy but wonderful days. The hugs felt good and the words of encouragement a blessing. I am thankful for Tim's leadership and willingness to come for it is a long way! I appreciated Peggy's thoughtfulness and willingness to jump in with whatever needed. David's expertise and experience in carpentry made the playground project go so well. I loved so much watching Keith fall in love with "my kids" and the Kids Training Teachers. Sharon's hugs and words of affirmation are so comforting. I enjoyed watching Dale's eagerness to embrace new experiences and ability to capture the moments. Dick's fun loving spirit and laughter made things even more fun. John's love for the people and relationships made us smile. I am grateful for the team who gave up their time, worked very hard, encouraged a great deal, and fell in love with the people we work alongside. I am grateful for those who were supportive in their ventures, who made and sent things for the playground, funds for the playground, the women who sewed all the beautiful clothes, loving people who sent little care packages and the list goes on. I continue to be amazed at the family of God and the tapestry of people that stretches beyond borders! I am sure for those readers in Plainfield you will hear many more tales of our aventures together and how the spirit of the Lord is moving in this place. Here are a few pictures to share of the projects, fun, and loving people!
Prayer Points~
It is quiet without the eight around! We are thankful for the time that we had but the goodbyes are always hard! Milo keeps looking down the road for Keith or David! Sweet and Sad!
The day after the team left Julius my guard sliced his finger with a panga. I put my Wilderness First Aid to quick practice and spent the rest of the day trying to get him the care that he needed. He just about cut his pointer finger clear off. It pained me to see Julius without his broad and happy smile! He is doing better now but need to pray for healing and no infection to set in.
