The Blessing

This week I had the privilege of teaching the parents of "my kids!"  The Church Planter Moms/Dads were very good students as we looked at the Biblical Principles of Raising Children to Know, be Known by and Love the Lord.  Or, as I like to call it "The Blessing" passing on a heritage of faith to our children.  This is a quiet group but I was deeply impressed by insights they brought to the discussions each day.  They were thankful for the points discussed saying that the material were things they had never heard before but realize how important it is to the Kingdom!  Those of you who have followed for a length of time will remember that we take a journey with a cross gaining a greater understanding of Jesus during a week of lessons with the kids.  With it being Easter week we decided that our lesson with the cross would be done as a family.  It was a moving time filled with thoughts of the cross, singing, and love for our Savior.  We also ended our study with prayer and a bit of fun together as the kids showed the adults how learning can be fun on the new outside play area!
