Theresia

Theresia is the daughter of Peter and Christina.  They are a Maasai family from Loliondo.  I believe that she is about five years old.  Her parents put on the form two years old but I know she is older than that.  Theresia has the most beautiful smile that lights up the room.  She is extremely shy but as her arms wrap tightly around my waist I am thankful that she has come to express herself so well in the last several weeks.  She loves colors and is extremely creative.  Currently the kids are learning the letter "M" and she is always smiling as she practices her letter writing.  She is the oldest in her family and has a younger brother here who you will soon meet as well.

A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.

I pray that Theresia will always have a happiness in her heart that surpasses circumstances.  That she is strengthened and given courage by the God who created her.  May her parents protect her and may her parents with kind words guide her to know more of the loving God that they serve.
