Christmas in Tanzania!
There are many things I miss about being in the States at Christmas but I have learned to treasure many things about celebrating Christmas in Tanzania! I miss my family a great deal and that is the most difficult on Christmas Day. How thankful I am for friends here who are like family when yours is so far away! We enjoyed a lovely sunny day celebrating the birth of our Savior. I am thankful for FaceTime where I am not just a figure on a screen but to get to interact with my family as they get together and open gifts. I am grateful for the many well wishes, prayers, Christmas Greetings, and pictures of things that I miss. They mean a great deal when the miles of great distance separate. I am always filled with joy how a simple communication can make you feel not so far away.
This picture is of the Joshua Team of those who are currently here in Tanzania along with honorary members Scott and Annelle. Happy to have Rachel Judd joining us for the next three months!
Love these two (Scott and Annelle Price) and our many adventures!

One of my Christmas gifts this year was to make a day trip to Maasailand. The Maasai Bush Churches were having a choir competition to celebrate. There were 14 choirs who gave thanksgiving, praise, and celebration to Immanuel God with Us! My dear friends the Russell's were the ring leaders of the party. I have had many ventures with them out in this land and share the love for the people very much. The joy was to venture with Russell's, their friends from the States, and my team here at Joshua. Most of my team had not been out in this part of the bush before. It was my first return to the area being back in Tanzania this year. It was an amazing gift to see so many of my wonderful friends! It was special to share this day with all who went and initiates a launch for an exciting 2016 for the children in Maasailand!
