Wendy and Milo are in route!

I won't lie tears are streaming down my face.  My heart is split in two.  It is a feeling that I continue to grow in understanding of the missionary heart.  One eye is filled with tears of joy and happiness of returning back to Tanzania.  Transitioning from telling the story of how God is moving in Tanzania the hands on work.  I look forward to being in my house and seeing my friends.  The other eye of course is the deep sadness of leaving my family and friends.  No longer will I feel the hugs and touch of people who mean so very much.  The goodbyes are done and we transition to the journey.  Currently, we are in Detroit waiting for our 6:30pm flight to Amsterdam.  We had to take an earlier flight for fear of missing my next one due to a delay.  It made things go even faster at the airport but all considering it was smooth.  Today I am grateful for Eloise who took care of my bags and checked me in.  She was very kind and made the task as good as it can be.  She remembered me from my trip before and shared tears as she loaded my last item on the belt.  I pray for more people like Eloise who help make this journey a bit more bearable.  Milo is currently laying in my arms like a baby.  He is doing so well and occasionally licks my arm to assure me that we will soon be in our Tanzanian Home.  I think he too knows we have also left home.  It is somewhat a relief to be at this point and we will continue on this long journey till we have reached our destination.

Thank you to those who helped with my goodbye and the process of getting out the door.  I am blessed and love you all dearly.  Back to the field I go with many treasureable moments stored in my heart!
