Sites and the Psalms

I am grateful that malaria is behind me!
Being at language school is more enjoyable and it is fun to be able to venture to sites around the second largest lake in the world with my friends.  Chris and Katie are from the States and will work in Mwanza.  There time at language school is coming to a close this week.  I will miss them.

I am pleased to have a new friend Jocelyn who is a native Hoosier!  She came to begin language school after the break.  I am thankful for my language school friends!

A nice study break spot along the lake.

"This is the day of the Lord's victory; let us
by happy, let us celebrate!"
Hii ndiyo siku aliyoifanya Mwenyezi-Mungu;
tushangilie na kufurahi."
(Zaburi 118:24)

 "Praise the Lord, all nations! Praise him, all peoples!
His love for us is strong and his faithfulness is eternal.
Praise the Lord!"
"Enyi mataifa yote, msifuni Mwenyezi-Mungu!
Enyi watu wote mhimidini!  Maana fadhili zake
kwetu sisi ni kuu; uaminifu wake Mwenyezi-Mungu wadumu milele!
Msifuni Mwenyezi-Mungu!"
(Zaburi 117:1&2)

"I praise you, Lord, because you heard me,
because you have given me victory."
"Nakushukuru, ee Mungu kwa kunijibu;
kwa sababu wewe ni wokovu wangu."
(Zaburi 118:21)

"He has decided the number of stars and calls each one by name."
"Anaamua idadi itakayokuwako ya nyota, na kuzipa zote majina yao."
(Zaburi 147:4)

Prayer Points~
  • There is one more month at language school!  I am so very thankful to feel better.  I have indeed been very sick and the last several months have been difficult.  God continues to strength those in his army and for that I am grateful!  Pray for this last month of study!

  1. Hello,
    I stumbled across your blog by accident but I have been blessed by reading of your adventure and looking through your photos. In 2007 I spent 6 months in Tanzania - going thru a discipleship training school (DTS) with YWAM - Youth With A Mission. I was based out of Kilimanjaro - Boma Ngombe - outside of Moshi. It was a life changing adventure. I'll be praying for you as you continue to recover from malaria, you grasp the language swiftly, and so much more. There is hope in your being where you are!
