Ordination

December 1st was an exciting day for those of us here in Tanzania.  Growing up in the States it doesn't look or feel like December!  But, as we met on the hillside I couldn't help but hear the angels as they rejoiced.  These men of faith who by monetary means and placement in society would be similar to that of the shepherds told about in Luke.  It was moving as these men knelt with tears streaming down their faces. They were anointed with oil and ordained.  These men proclaim the name of the Lord along these hillsides in Masailand.  Today was another step as they become a body of believers who preach the gospel to their people!  Their wives beside them it was truly a beautiful picture as we continue to empower people.
We continue to pray for the president's signing of the church registration.  There were over thirteen men, wives, and countless elders among the twenty some odd churches. A day of celebration as men who have answered the call to preach the gospel and share the story of the greatest gift ever given!  Pray for these men of faith as they meet challenges everyday but continue to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel!
