Visitors from Colorado

Two week have gone by fast and the goodbye's given for Kaarin and Katelyn are back on the plane to America.  The Scoma's is the family that I lived with when I intern in Colorado during my senior year of college.  We have always remained very close.  They and their Sunday School Class are very supportive of me and the ministry here in Tanzania.  Kaarin and Katelyn Scoma were kind enough to give up part of their Christmas Vacation to venture to Tanzania to experience the ministry.  The time went by very quickly but I believe that it was a very valuable time.  It was a joy for me to watch Katelyn (one of my kids) now a teen teach and build relationship with the nationals.  Katelyn is called to missions and I know will continue to work through her life in a mighty way!

We

  • visited the bustling town of Arusha
  • Saw animals of every shape and size
  • did a culture walk
  • a night safari drive
  • met my friends and teammates
  • visited a CHE women's group
  • Pre-Primary Teachers Training in the bush
  • Widow and Orphan Day
  • Worshipped out in the Bush
  • Encouragement time with the national CMF Staff
  • Chai with Catherine and Annah (Kids Training Teachers at CMF in Arusha)
  • shopped in the markets
Time flies when you are having fun!  (smile)  There will be future posts about a few of these events individually.  But, I know it has been awhile since I have posted!!  Now Kaarin and Katelyn are back on the plane with the thoughts and emotions of these last many days.  I hope they enjoy being able to tell the story of what God is doing in this land and lives that are being changed in the name of Jesus!!
