Next in our little line of Church Planter Kids is Hezekiah! He is most likely between the ages of 1 and 2 years old. He has begun to walk during his time with us and is very proud of that! Hezekiah is probably the child in all of my sessions who had the most difficulty transitioning to Kids Training. He did NOT want to leave his momma and be in the care of this "white woman" (me!) During the first weeks Anna, Catherine, and I strapped this hefty lad on our backs so that he would be comforted and finally drift to sleep. Hezekiah also holds the aware for being the first kid to throw up while strapped onto my back! This occurred while constructing our new playground in the first week of training. But as I said it is a joy to watch how far the kids have come in these couple of months and Hezekiah is no different. He no longer cries unless he is tired and has begun to engage in the teaching times along with the older children. He is very proud of himself and still likes to point at his first coloring page that is hanging on the wall! He claps happily when put in the swing and loves to worship! This little man has strengthened my back muscles but also my heart muscles!!
My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad;
my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.
Proverbs 23:15
Lord, I plead for this little one who smiles so brightly to grow everyday in wisdom. Help his parents to raise him to be a wise man, to be able to make right choices that will bring a lifetime of blessing, and bring You Glory! May he know that you are the source of all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding we need to build his life upon. Your truth brings victory, safety, protection from evil people, living without fear, wealth more precious than gold. May he commit himself to you to be a leader who is loved and respected.
