Moringa Day!

Last week we had a Moringa Day with our staff and friends.  I was able to meet Sebastian through the herbal class information that I took awhile back.  Sebastian is a teacher and manufacturer of Moringa.  For an empowerment day with our staff and friends I asked Sebastian to come out to the CMF Center.  He spoke of the health benefits of Moringa along with how to plant and care for Moringa.  Each part of the plant can be used to benefit the body in a variety of ways.  And by planting the Moringa Tree one can also be a seller of the seeds back to the Moringa Project.  Moringa can benefit malnutrition in nursing mothers, blood pressure, stomach etc.  It is called the tree of life and I believe it!  The seeds can also be used to purify water!  Everyone was happy to learn and then we planted trees on the center.  Plus everyone took seeds home to plant at home as well.  The Noel's were kind to prepare lunch so that everyone could be involved in the training!  I think that it was a fun day of empowerment and encouragement for our staff!

Prayer Points~

  • We rejoice that our creator in heaven created many things that we benefit from physically.  All it takes sometimes is a little knowledge and a simple green leaf that could aid in the malnutrition problem that we face in the country.  May we be good stewards of what God has given and praise a God of provision!!
