Wamomma na Watoto

We had five mommas and their five children who are one and under.  These are wives of our workers here at CMF who have small children.  I wanted to have a morning to encourage them and share some empowering truths of cleanliness, health, and how their role as a mother gives their children a foundation of God's love.  We had chai and got to know each other before we began the lessons of the day.  Elinipa, Annelle, and I enjoyed the morning together with the mommas.  We hope to gather together once a month and grow in relationship that this is a safe place to ask questions that most women here do not have a safe place to do so.  I was excited to do my best with Swahili!  This was my first time to speak entirely in Swahili even my lesson (with the help of Elinipa!) with adults!  It was a blessing to be able to spend time with these ladies and get to hold their little ones!  We hope this is an encouragement to them as we share together.

Prayer Points~
  • Please pray for these mommas as they comfort, love, and care for their children within difficult circumstances.  May they be women of strength who love their children with the love of their Heavenly Father.
  • We were made aware that the ward elections have yet to take place but are rescheduled again for tomorrow the 14 of July.  Continue to pray peace in Arusha
