Today, marks living here in Africa for six months. I got off that plane excited and very nervous as to what my time here would like. Scott drove me to where my home would be with four bags that included all my belongings I brought with me. Milo was definately happy to get out of his bag and explore his new digs. Neither one of us new what was instore for us.
Most of the days have gone very fast but I think because of the difference in worlds at times it feels like I have been gone from the States forever. I have learned a great deal not to mention my many experiences. My favorite are the people who I meet that warm my heart especially the kids!
My teammates are a blessing and have taught me how to live in Africa. I have discovered a great love of Africa despite its hardships and how much I miss all those in the States. Life here is not always easy. I, however, embarce and have learned to love it.
Prayer Points~
- I am thankful for these six months and how God has used me as a tool in amazing ways to expand the Kingdom.
- Pray for the six months ahead
- One of our church planters and CHE leaders is organizing a kid day. The growing church community have invited government officials to display how they value and love the kids in their area. They hope to have their support as the church addresses the growing need to care for the widows and orphans. This will take place on Saturday, September 18th. Pray for the day that hearts are softened and fun will be had!
